Andrea ZhengHey y'all! I'm Andrea and am going into my fourth (and sadly my final) year as an instructor. This program has given me such an amazing opportunity to improve my teaching skills while surrounded by some of the best people that I know. There's never a dull moment in this club, whether its belting out lyrics by a bonfire or hearing that perfect delivery of THE Shaq joke. When I'm not teaching, you could probably find me watching/playing sports, hanging out with friends, or taking a nap. Somewhere down the line I hope to become a Physical Therapist and own a yet undetermined number of puppies.

Carlyn WisheropHey everyone, I'm Carlyn! I joined CPR/FA during my freshman year and I can wholeHEARTedly say that this program has been the best part about my college experience. Aside from discovering a deep passion and love for teaching, I've met the most inspiring people at UCLA (seriously, I'm amazed at how incredible my fellow instructors are) who constantly encourage me to keep growing and push me to be the best version of myself. These instructors have become my best friends/family, and the memories I've made through this program are ones I'll always remember. Take a class with us and experience for yourself the true #CPRLove.

Chathuri gunasekera Hi! My name is Chathuri and I'm a third year instructor. I love CPR!! Both the club and the skill! I also love taking bad pictures sleepy cats in the sun, embroidering, running for 4 minutes at a time, eating chex mix, buying candy in bulk, and drinking hot water. I'm so grateful for this program because I've really opened up since my first year and I adore the family I've met here.

Jazzmhine oconerHello!! My name is Jazzmhine and this is my second year as an instructor. While introducing me to such a wholesome and supportive community, this program has allowed me to explore my passions for health education and empowered me to grow in so many different ways. During my free time, you can find me browsing the aisles of Trader Joes's, making hyperspecific spotify playlists, or binging cringey christmas rom-coms on repeat. In terms of the future, my goals are constantly changing, but for now, I hope to learn how to *actually* ride a skateboard and craft together the perfect bowl of oatmeal.

SHivangi GoswamiWhat's up I'm Gi! I love being part of a group that empowers people with the confidence to handle emergencies and promotes personal growth as instructors. Even better, I get to do it alongside this tight knit group of people. Times with them have definitely been some of my best memories at UCLA.
Outside of this program, I like to play volleyball or be outdoors in any way. Real sucker for sunsets and sunrises. I watch a lot of food or cooking videos (but my cooking doesn't show it). And I'm interested in holistic health and hope to work at the intersection of food and health in some capacity in the future :) |

Douglas NguyenHowdy! I'm Doug, and this is my third year as an instructor. I love this program because it enables me to teach others to be prepared for emergency situations, and it also entertains my interest in public speaking! My favorite part about CPR/FA Program is the community that has been a constant point of support for me since I joined. As for the future, I want to break my record for $4 all-you-can-eat pancakes at Denny's (currently at 11 cakes; Denny's, please sponsor me).

Ty McgrewMy favorite part of being an instructor with CPR is getting to work with a super amazing team! Teaching a CPR class early on a weekend would seem to be exhausting, but the CPR team is so funny and they have so much energy and enthusiasm that early morning classes end up being really fun!
For fun I love to do anything outside (hiking, surfing, diving, etc)! But mostly I love to spend time with my friends and my two beautiful dogs! My long term goal is to work with patients with muscular dystrophy and my short term goal is to appreciate more! :) |
